New Years Resolutions 2018

Happy New Year!! I hope 2017 left you with good memories and 2018 coming with many happy events.
As for the resolutions… these are made on the fly.

  1. I would like to improve my art. Like in any way possible.
  2. I would like to help out my parents more often.
  3. Less procrastination as I always say. But never happens.
  4. Dress warmer, so… less sick. And colds.
  5. Be more prepared (related to number 3)
  6. Watch movies. (Purely for my own entertainment.)
  7. Take care of skin. (fall less and lotion??)
  8. Practice and perhaps be more intense about table tennis!

And that is about it! Upcoming events include, my sister graduating, grade 10, my brother going into grade 2, and that’s all I am anticipating. Nothing less, and perhaps even more. I hope 2018 proves to be a better year than 2017, especially in world events.

Happy New Year!

it’s all done and over with

And it is the last day of 2017. I should do that weird review of the year and the resolutions I made at the beginning of the year. I’ll do that now. Yeah.

Resolutions for the year 2017 (italics are my thoughts now):

  1. Try to get my creativity out in different ways (drawing, writing, idk what else).
I suppose that I have done this. In art class at school, I have to do this and I participated in a art contest for the Public Library. Today is the last day they are showing them at the library.
  2. Focus (whether it be around people, at school, or when playing sports).
My focus? I think I still need to work on this.
  3. Less use of my phone.
I don’t think this is going to happen. Maybe when I get more busy. I did stop playing my phone game…
  4. Sleep at more appropriate times.
For some reason, this is very hard to do. But then again it is the holidays right now, so I don’t really sleep at normal times. During the school year, I sleep.. okay. Health.
  5. Try to keep the desk organized for as long as possible and clean every once in a while.
I think I only clean when someone is going to vacuum or clean out some closet. But right now there are many pieces of paper from homework and projects.
  6. Organize time for everything; have a plan. 🙂
What is a plan? I tried, okay?
  7. Spend more time with the child. GABEYY.
I really don’t want to sometimes. Because he’s starting to mansplain. And he can read a lot of things and understand some things that he didn’t before. how unfortunate that my brother is learning. Hahahaha.

Today, December Thirty-First of Twenty-Seventeen, I am going spend my time at home doing homework. For sure. No distractions. Only this project and studying. Yep. Anyways, I hope 2017 had at least a few great memories you can look back at. Memories are usually what keeps people going. Let’s go 2018!

(I’ll, hopefully, be posting some resolutions tomorrow!)

not the only one

School starts tomorrow. There is only going to be homeroom for half an hour and then I’m free to go. I spent the past 3 months doing actually nothing. I did a few pages of work from a book, I slept a lot, ate a lot, exercised less than moderately for less then often times a week, and perhaps made my eyesight worse. I got new glasses, although my eyesight did not worsen as much as I had thought, so that’s a good thing. I gained weight, which is probably healthy for a pubescent kid.

Looking at what I did in grade eight, I will think of a few things that I can do differently this year, in grade nine.

  1. Finish homework on the day it is assigned not the day in between. (I may not stick to this one…)
  2. Ask questions when I really need to.
  3. Try to be a bit more friendly. Nicer, I guess.
  4. Think about things more before doing anything.
  5. Try new things. Maybe a club or something?
  6. Be a bit more independent? For the future?
  7. Be more organized, keep track of my belongings so that I won’t lose them.
  8. Stop my bad habits.
  9. Sleep earlier…
  10. Wake up earlier on the weekends…

That’s about it, as I should sleep for the next day. School’s in 12-ish hours. Ahhhh. For now, I shall get organized and… yeah. See ya!

2017 New Year’s Resolutions!

Hey guys, Happy New Year! 2016 has come to an end. That means 2017 has started, and there must be a post on some goals for the rest of the year. Well, without further ado, the resolutions!

  1. Try to get my creativity out in different ways (drawing, writing, idk what else).
  2. Focus (whether it be around people, at school, or when playing sports).
  3. Less use of my phone.
  4. Sleep at more appropriate times.
  5. Try to keep the desk organized for as long as possible and clean every once in a while.
  6. Organize time for everything; have a plan. 🙂
  7. Spend more time with the child. GABEYY.

Well, that seems to be it. There isn’t as much as I thought. I guess 7 is a good number to stop at as I am not used to seeing the year as 2017. 2016 was fun, uneventful, and strangely turned pretty bad at the end.
School starts in 2 days. I don’t think I’m very excited for it to begin. I should get back into my school sleeping schedule. However, I don’t think I’m getting very close to getting my sleep schedule back to normal anytime soon. I just can’t fall asleep at normal times.

I noticed that recently I’ve been painting a whole bunch of random things. Is it so that I have something to do? I do… but I don’t really want to. ((:

I hope everyone has a good 2017! Happy New Year again!

New Year’s Resolutions for 2016: Review

This is also rather early. I’m halfway through December and I’m thinking about this. Why did I set so many goals? Many of those goals can be accomplished in longer periods of time. Let’s see what January 1st, 2016 Gloria thinks about the year.

  1. Don’t ask so many questions; be more independent and use my brain.
To be honest, there are different situations in which asking questions are good.
  2. Try not to be so hesitant.
    I’m trying. Trying not to cry… ;u;
  3. TRY to be more neat and organized.
I guess I’m trying. Depends on what time of year.
  4. Have more patience…
Yeah. We’re getting good at that.
  5. Stay the same in personality, but be quieter when appropriate.
I think I took this way too seriously. Some people think I’m scary for not talking or expressing any emotion. Whoops.
  6. EYES!! Keep my eyesight the same.
I don’t know where I am going with this. Why did I even bring this up?
  7. Try not to be scared of new things and other things.
    “Other things.”
  8. Get better at talking in front of people.
    I can’t. I mean, I’ll talk really fast…
  9. Improve printing.
Some still say it’s bad, however, I see a difference in my writing.
  10. Use time wisely.
I keep rewording this differently every year. This might be on the list for 2017, but I don’t know.
  11. Concentrate better, find a strategy to concentrate without music.
I don’t know about this one. I think I can only focus on one thing at a time. To be honest, I don’t even know if the music helps me, but it distracts me from other people.
  12. Have more self-esteem.
    Sure!

I think every year, I get more sarcastic and less motivated to complete or even try to achieve my goals. It’s fun though, to set some goals. I noticed that even when I was little, I enjoyed writing stories; but they always ended up going on and on, or they just ended. Now, I might write some stories during breaks. Who knows. Anyway, in about half a month, I will write some New Year’s Resolutions. Why is it the end of 2016 already? I just got used to it being at the top of my papers.

underestimate

Can I have a really long break? I have lots of work to do, but I seem to procrastinate for extended periods of time. I don’t want to do any of this. I know I have to do my work. I have a stomachache.

Earlier this year, I thought that grade eight would be a little harder than grade seven. Well, it’s not any more difficult, it’s just more in a short amount of time. I forgot about the fact that every school day is busy. Maybe I underestimated high school because of how my sister explained her day. It’s not her fault, it’s just my interpretation and visualization of high school. Haha.

Let’s list some things that I know are coming up that I should do, but I’m not. Also, stress. 🙂 I mean, I’m just gonna list random things that… are happening.

  1. Science Fair Proposal: I’m writing the entire thing, but it’s a partner project. I wish I did Honours now.
  2. Art Project: I haven’t even started on thinking about. So I’m not going to think about it.
  3. Ping Pong Tournament: The registration cut-off date is tomorrow. I don’t really want to do it. I should talk to my coach. I don’t think I’m going to do it if I’m this stressed about it.
  4. Ping Pong @ School: I mean, it’s a new thing-a-majig to me, so I don’t know what is going on at the try-outs and practices. I’m really awkward. Especially when explaining and teaching.
  5. School In General: Can I like not go? I don’t really enjoy school. It’s too busy. I don’t like group/partner projects. I dislike many things. Including my work. And myself.

I need to go to PING PONG PRACTICE now. So, yeah, see ya next time!!!!

it’s my birthday

YESSS, it’s my birthday! I’m 13! Surprisingly, I actually got quite a number of gifts from my friends and family. A list would look like this:

  1. A whole bunch of CHOCOLATE (like 4 bars)(lol)
  2. A fancy water-resistant, sports watch (sparkly!!)
  3. Some money (idk, man)
  4. A ladybug themed cup/goblet/bowl-ish container (woah)
  5. A Starbucks card
  6. A hilarious notebook (no, really.)
  7. A lot of cards
  8. Two drawings of cakes by my cute baaaby brother in kindergarten!!!
  9. Three bags/packages of junk food/deep-fried stuff. (;P)
  10. A CHOCOLATE cupcake with caramel icing on the top with SPRINKLES (yum!)
  11. A bouquet of flowers made of tissue paper, a ribbon, and some sticks. (wow)

That’s actually quite a list. Another thing my friends did was decorate my locker. It was covered with gift wrapping paper with HAPPY BIRTHDAY all over it. And green streamers. And sticky notes with some messages on them. At the end of the school day, I took it down CAREFULLY and brought it home. Dinner was great. THANKS MOM and DAAD. Well then, see y’all!

New Year Resolutions : 2016

Happy New Year! It is now 2016, and I have been sick for an entire year. JK! Only for like two weeks… Since it is a new YEAR, that means a lot of things are going to happen… Just like every other year. For example… BIRTHDAYS. Nope. Not going there. I’m gonna be 13? Whaa? Then my brother is going to be 5?? Yeah…
New Year Resolutions are hard to think of, but I’ll just go with what I feel like I can actually try to accomplish… Yeah. Well then…

  1. Don’t ask so many questions; be more independent and use my brain.
  2. Try not to be so hesitant.
  3. TRY to be more neat and organized. (and don’t procrastinate so much)
  4. Have more patience…
  5. Stay the same in personality, but be quieter when appropriate.
  6. EYES!! Keep my eyesight the same.
  7. Try not to be scared of new things and other things (like… earthquakes!)
  8. Get better at talking in front of people.
  9. Improve printing.
  10. Use time wisely (don’t play all the time).
  11. Concentrate better, find a strategy to concentrate without music.
  12. Have more self-esteem. Yay.

I have no idea how I’m going to do anything. Great. I should take time to do homework instead of playing with other electronics. Yeah. So, I will get to that homework. Put effort into work and concentrate.

Well then, I hope everyone has a wonderful 2016! Happy New Year~!

New Year Resolution Review: 2015

It might be a little early to start reviewing what goals I had set up this year, but I have some time on my hands right now, and I might not later, so why not now? Let’s get at it then…

  1. Have more confidence. ~ I really don’t know where I am going with that.
  2. Be more elegant. ~ …No comment.
  3. Try to be nicer and appreciative. ~ Try.
  4. Try to type without looking down at the keyboard. ~ Nope.
  5. Be more alert in certain situations. ~ Believe me, I try.
  6. Stop bothering Gabriel so much. ~ …Is that really a problem?
  7. Understand when people are mad at me. ~ Okay.
  8. Keep improving my mathematical skills. ~ …what skills.
  9. Keep improving my Shanghainese. ~ Got that… Maybe Mandarin this year.
  10. Pay attention when needed. ~ Ahh… right.
  11. Work on my writing. ~ Working on that…
  12. Keep my eyesight the same. ~ Ahahah
  13. Get passing grades in term one Grade 7. ~ THAT is one thing I can guarantee.
  14. Improve temper. ~ Found a solution! Just don’t care about anything.
  15. Stop procrastinating so much. ~ Isn’t that what I’m doing right now?

Since when was I so sarcastic? Woah. I’ll probably post my New Year Resolutions on the first day of 2016. That means I really should get going on my novel. I’m currently going absolutely NOWHERE in my story. I am stuck. Like in every story I start. Ahh.
At least I have finished one piece of homework that is due on the first day of school. The band theory book thing has been finished for a while now. I should really rack up some ideas for the story I’m attempting to complete. Yeah. I really should.

Summer Resolutions

Okay, so I got this idea from my sister, Grace, and, uh, it is basically a list of things i kind of want to achieve over the Summer. So, uhm, HERE IT IS!

1) Write something acceptable…
2) Learn to do something cool
3) Improve my table tennis skills
4) Find my inner creativity
5) Look at things differently (and not copy so much)
6) Read books
7) Ignore put downs
8) Just be more positive
9) Improve grammar … ?
10) Draw more often (to let that creativity goooo)
11) Try to be mature
12) Pay more attention………..

See? I can see a lot of flaws in myself. I still have more. But, since I am turning 12 this year, I’ll just stop at 12. I have another one: write neater. SEEEEEEEEE??? okay…
Well then, I need to go. It is 9:30-ish. See ya next time!!!
